FREE EXCERPTS — Turn Your HR Know-How Into A Second Income & Make A Difference In People’s Lives…Without Leaving Your HR Day Job!

by Alan Collins

At last, it’s here!

For months, I’ve been working quietly, under the radar, behind the scenes on my fourth book. And, it’s finally done.

It’s called….

YOUR HR GOLDMINE:
How To Turn Your Human Resources Know-How Into
A Lucrative Second Income  & Make A Difference In
People’s Lives…Without Leaving Your HR Day Job!

That’s right, without leaving your day job in HR.

If you’ve been looking for a way to truly profit from your HR knowledge, talents and gifts – and get them out into the world where they can be recognized, appreciated and REALLY make a difference — well, you’ve now found it!

This book has been developed to be “career game changer” for HR. And, I will say unabashedly that there is nothing else like it for HR professionals.

In this book, I will share with you how you can generate MORE income on the side, create a profoundly MORE meaningful HR career for yourself…and become a POWERFUL difference in other people’s lives.

How?  By simply sharing what you already know about Human Resources.

So, if you’re frustrated with what you’re doing in HR.   Don’t quit your job – at least not yet.  Instead keep it, and utilize the approach in this book.

If you’re interested in “monetizing” the skills you’ve worked hard to acquire as an HR professional — beyond just using them in your current job — no matter how much or how little HR experience you currently have – then, you’ll want to get a copy of this ground-breaking new book.

One BIG caution: This book is NOT for everyone. It has been written specifically for HR professionals who are looking for innovative ways of cashing in on their experience in HR — and making a difference in the process.

So, if you’re out to screw people over and have problems being ethical, honest and using your expertise to provide sincerely helpful HR-related solutions to people, do me a favor.  Take a pass on this book.   It’s not for you.

Want to know more?   Then check out the specific details and download FREE EXCERPTS from TWO CHAPTERS of this book at YourHRGoldmine.com   You’ll also be able to read all the comments and feedback from a small group of HR pros who got an advance copy of the book a few weeks ago.

MY HR GOLDMINE IS HERE! MY HR GOLDMINE IS HERE! Okay Alan, after all these years of following you, I am ready, myself, to take the plunge. Your book just arrived today, and I’m all over it.

I’ll report back periodically, but so far, I’m loving it. You have such a no-nonsense way of getting the word out there that your books are a breeze to read. And, when I’m finished reading, I actually feel like I’ve learned more than I ever could in the classroom. You bring the classroom to life, and for that, I will forever be eternally grateful.

Be blessed, and thank you again for all you do for the profession – no, THE CALLING (I just love that!).

    Tashana

I really enjoyed reading this book. I wish I have read it several years ago because I would have taken much of Alan’s advice earlier on. Be a difference maker and find your niche and run with it, let Alan guide you in cultivating that niche into a cash stream. Get this book today- You will be glad you did!

    Hi Alan —- I have a couple of questions/comments:

    1) I have 20 years in international HR and it is my passion. I want to give something back/learnings to HR people who desperately need to know international
    2) I have given some webinars and also presented at several state-wide HR conferences —- no consulting resulted
    3) Because I am not a “big name” or work for a “big box” consulting company, SHRM and WorldatWork do not want me as a presenter
    4) I write for 2 well known HR blogs
    5) I have a website and it is posted on LinkedIn but I am unsure as to how to get it “out there” to people
    6) I just don’t understand how this can be done unless you are a big name like you are
    7) I don’t have a personal blog because frankly there are a zillion out there and finding me would be like a needle in a haystack

Would like to know more about your putting an ad online. That could be a draw. People know me as I am very active on LinkedIn but again no consulting as resulted.

I am not a pessimist but …….. my friends say I need to write a book. I’m also looking into teaching online —- would you believe there are only a few universities that have HR courses on international?

    Any advice?

    Jacque Vilet

  4. Alan Says:

    Jacque,

First of all, I’ve seen your website and love it. It’s a good foundation to build on. I also think that it’s great you’ve carved the “International HR” niche for yourself and you have a desire to share your expertise. Two thumbs up.

Here’s the best advice I can give you at this point:

    (1) You need to begin packaging your “International HR expertise” into a line of “products” that you can get out into the marketplace that people will ABSOLUTELY RAVE ABOUT. It could be a compelling book that people find valuable. It could be awesome blog posts that add tremendous value to people. It could be presentations and speeches that jazz people up and cause light bulbs to come on. Obviously, there are lots more beyond this you could create. Just decide what you want to do…AND JUST DO IT! Frankly, I wouldn’t waste time on ads. Instead, I’d concentrate on creating a unique, compelling buzz in marketplace that people talk about…pass around virally…and can’t help but tell other people about. That’s the best ad/marketing you can have. Being professional, dull or just another consultant (not saying that you are) is the worst thing you can do. And it’s a great way of remaining a “needle in a haystack.”

    (2) Get “Your HR Goldmine.” It’s not the complete answer but will give you some ideas you’ve not thought of that will help you think about in executing some of the stuff in (1) above.

Finally, I don’t consider myself to be a big name. HR VPs are a dime a dozen. Whatever name I’ve been able to attain I attribute to how I’ve been able to uniquely execute the ideas in (1) and contained in (2).

    Thanks for your question.

    Much success,

    Alan

  5. Alan Says:

Tashana – Thanks much for your support. Appreciate the thumbs up so far. Please keep me updated on how you’re progressing in our “calling.”
    Best
    Alan

  6. Alan Says:

Mark – love it – be a “difference maker!” That says it all.

  7. FELICIA Says:

    Dear Alan,

I am in Ghana, West Africa and want to buy your book. How do I go about it? I need it urgently and badly. Please help asap.
    Thanks

  8. Alan Says:

Felicia, you can get the book on Amazon and the Kindle ebook version beginning Feb 10.

    thanks,
    Alan

  9. Tashana Says:

I think it should also be noted that Alan delivers the message of HR in a very matter of fact way. I like that we don’t have to weed through the business jargon in order to get to the point. That’s a huge challenge in HR; getting to the root of the problem without all the other stuff.
