Frustrated & Ready To Give Up On Your Career in HR? Fine, But Take 10 Minutes And Do This First…
by Alan Collins
In HR, we’ve all had moments of frustration when we question ourselves and wonder if we should quit and move on.
This could happen when we’ve failed to impress an important client. Or when we’ve been told that our big HR presentation didn’t go well. Or when, after busting our butt all year, the boss rates our annual performance as just “average.” Or when we’ve been passed over yet again for a promotion. (A confession: I’ve experienced all of these! They’re not pleasant. Anyway…)
When situations like these happen, just take 10 minutes to watch this video…
Now, this video will NOT solve your frustration problem. But it will point you in the right direction — towards YOURSELF!
Kyle’s never spent a day in HR, but he has a philosophy we all can learn from…and in a nutshell it is this…
Make NO Excuses!
Don’t give up on YOU!
Sometimes your HR career doesn’t give you what you want.
Not because you don’t deserve it.
But because you deserve something BETTER.
According to Kyle, no matter how many times you climb up the mountain of your career — and stumble — there should always be a little voice inside you that says, “NO, you’re not done yet! Get back up!” Kyle hears that voice often…he calls it the voice of passion and courage.
Make no mistake about it. Your career in HR is a journey, often difficult and sometimes horribly cruel.
However, if Kyle can achieve his goals — with his unique “gifts” — maybe we all can all overcome our frustrations and achieve ours too.
‘Nuff said. I’m out.
